Application Thing

CHARACTER:
Full name: Demon Lord Ghirahim
Fandom: Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sowrd
Alias/Nickname: Ghirahim / Lord Ghirahim
Character Journal: Currently lack an IJ journal.
Age/Date of Birth: Unknown. Over 1000 years old.
Sexuality: Gay. (no, seriously, hella gay)
Occupation: Servant/Sword of the Demon King Demise
Species: Demon Sword Spirit
Abilities: He can use dark magic entailing rituals to unseal sealed beings, teleportation, materialization of diamond knives, dark energy waves, summoning creatures / animating objects. Most of his magic is beatable with a bit of ingenuity and hard work. Any of his summoned lives or energy waves can be flung back at him.

He's very strong and fast, and has a mastery over blades.

He has two main forms. That of a demon and that of his 'true form'. Anger or loss of control results in a slow change towards a humanoid shaped metallic being with a large protruding diamond on his chest. Damaging the diamond severely hurts him.

Lastly Ghirahim can become a sword to be wielded by his Master Demise. The process literally pulls the blade from his chest, his entire being dissipating into the sword. The sword itself is huge.

Played By: Game screens

Appearance: Pale grey skin and stark white hair that hangs over his left eye. One pointed ear is visible. His eyes are rimmed in purple and appear to be some sort of dark color, most probably purple. He has a purple diamond tattoo under his left eye.

Ghirahim wears a tight fitting bodysuit that has portions of the legs cut out in diamond shapes. His gloves are similar. His entire chest is practically bare, the white suit have two large diamond cut-outs and it wraps over his left shoulder.

He has a golden band on his right upper arm and a golden sash on his hips with a large ruby colored diamond sitting on the right hip. He has blue diamond shaped earrings hanging from his ears.

Ghirahim also wears a large cloak that has three split tails and a portion that falls down in front. The upper portion comes up high enough that he could hide his face under it or even pull it over his head as a hood. It's held closed by a diamond shaped link chain and a diamond clasp. His cloak is red with yellow diamonds on the inside.

When he is in his final form there is a large white diamond protruding from his chest. His skin is pitch black and hard as a metal sword. His hair curls up and appears to be just as hard as his skin. He has two pointed ears and his eyes are pure white. He has a pattern of diamonds starting on his right leg, going across his hips and lower waist, up his left back and down both arms. There is a single white diamond mark on his forehead.

Ghirahim has a very obvious preference towards diamonds. He considers it to be his aesthetic. He likes to lounge with one leg up on high places, humming to himself or just to brood. When he's stressed he lashes out with violence and threats while still maintaining a very drama queen sort of flair. He has a taste for blood and tends to violate peoples personal space. He get's more terse the more stressed he is, and more black begins to climb up his skin.

Personality: Ghirahim is noted as having all of the emotions, flamboyancy, and grace that his counterpart (Fi, the Master Sword) doesn't. He's emotional, a perfectionist, easily angered when things don't go his way, in your face, extremely flamboyant and dramatic, a drama queen who disregards other peoples personal space. He is also extremely bloodthirsty and quite likes toying with others for his own amusement. He is completely devoted to his Master. Mostly.

Strengths/Merits:
  • Swordplay
  • Dark Magic
  • To revive/unseal his Master

    Weaknesses/Flaws:
  • Maintaining control
  • Social cues, interactions, niceties, behavior
  • Failure

History: Ghirahim was created some time ago by Demise to be his sword. He was given sentience, making him a Demon Sword Spirit who can taken on a physical shape and interact in the physical world. When not being wielded by Demise Ghirahim often commanded Demise's armies in a take over of the Land of Hylia. When Hylia finally intervened and saved the remainder of her people Demise became sealed away, leaving Ghirahim in charge of several demons and a world to conquer.

Ghirahim spent a thousand years plotting and planning to revive his master, building a power base and ensuring all the pieces where in play. When the Goddess Hylia was reborn as a human girl named Zelda, at the pinnacle moment where she would have to undergo the clensing ritual on the surface, Ghirahim summoned a dark tornado to breach the cloud barrier and drag Zelda down to the surface. He required Zelda in the ritual to revive Demise.

Zelda eluded Ghirahim, protected by one of the Goddesses Shiekah dogs. Doubly so the sky-child called Link quickly became a thorn in his side. The boy came down to the surface to find his precious Zelda, and Ghirahim figured he'd make an amusing distraction if nothing else. He played around with Link for a while, growing quickly frustrated however at his failure to capture Zelda. Often he took this frustrations out on Link, forcing Link into harder and harder battles.

Eventually he gave up on stopping Link from getting to Zelda after the Shiekah and Zelda escaped through the Gate of Time, destroying the Temple in the process. He focused solely on gathering the required materials for the ritual and biding his time for Zelda's reappearance. He left Link primarily alone, and when they did meet pitched Link against animated guardians and monsters for a bit of amusement.

When Zelda finally resurfaced Ghirahim stole her away and began the ritual to free his Master. The ritual required the soul of the Goddess Hylia within Zelda as a sacrifice to his Master. Unfortunately he was stopped by Link before he could fully complete the ritual. However he did revive his master partially. He was prepared to serve his master as his blade once more and finally defeat the sky-child once and for all.

It is at this time that Ghirahim was taken by the goddess and dropped on the island.

Couple of Random Facts:Ghirahim licked the shell of Link's ear and often appeared to be flirting with Link in his own, sadistic type of way.

He has complete fits of drama, making sweeping gestures and dramatic but pointed language that quickly devolves into fury, accidentally teleporting himself in rage around a room.

Ghirahim claims to be the epitome of perfection. He's rather quite full of himself. His love of diamonds is quite legendary.

He may or may not have had a slight fascination or crush on Link, considering the number of times he could have outright killed the boy but let him live instead.

Hey may or may not have slight doubts about Demise after a thousand years without him.

    WRITING PROFICIENCY
First Person Journal Entry: Food. Food. I took a simple step outside and what do I find? Food reigning from the sky. Goddesses be damned my hair is ruined! There is this strange sauce in it now and I just look so hideous!

Oh when I find out whose fault it is for giving this fool of a Goddess the idea to drop food from the sky I will make them bleed, I will make them beg for mercy, and then I will tear them limb from limb and have the taste of their blood on my lips.

    Food.

    It's raining food.

    Ugh.

The shower had better damn well work.

    Third Person Role Playing Entry:

Ghirahim came to slowly. He couldn't be quite sure what had happened as last he remembered Demise had pulled him up by his arms, hung him suspended in air, and began to TUG on that one place in his chest. The pain had been laughable at the time, but now his head just throbbed and he felt sore all over.

Slowly Ghirahim pushed himself up. He winced at the throb in his chest where the Sky-Child had shoved that thrice damned Fi into his diamond. He'd smart for weeks from that as the cracks healed up. He might even be forced to find a smith to fix most of the damage. Perhaps Demise would be willing to hand him over to one?

Ghirahim shook his head sharply and got to his knees. Strange, there was some sort of stone beneath him. It wasn't cobblestone, like that seen in the ruins of what had once been the great Kingdom of Hylia, but it felt rough like the edge of a cliff, a bit pourous too judging by the rough feel under his knees.

The last thing Ghirahim could remember was the dirt of the Sealed Grounds, the Sky-Child horrified, and his Master revived. Now he was in some strange stone-work ground with no Demise in sight, no Sky-Child, nothing. Ghirahim grunted and stood on his feet. He surveyed the land.

It looked like a city of some sort.

"Goddesses be damned," Ghirahim muttered. "What poor excuse for a setting is this?"

Well, nothing to do but see if he could find Demise. Or maybe the Sky-Child. He would rather like to take his frustrations for this new development out on the boy. With a snap of his fingers Ghirahim disappeared in a shower of diamonds.

    Time to explore.
